Growing up in a suburban area in the German speaking part of Switzerland, I probably mostly experienced the chocolate-side of this world. A protected childhood followed by modern school education and becoming groomed to a well behaving social element. But I also had my own mind...
Back in the late 80's I became interested in physical activity and the power of the mind; in Aikido I found a great source of inspiration and I studied it for more than 10 years. Soon I evolved in other styles of martial arts, such as Systema, in which school my teacher especially emphasized on the breathing! This leading eventually into the Yoga-journey; thus my interests expanding in the connection of body, mind and spirit.
My professional life was growing through various stages; exploring a variety of different expressions and experiences...
My beginnings took place in an artistic workshop, creating furniture and other things out of scrap metal and various other materials.
After a brief time working with disabled people, I became involved in the artistic and technical production of TV commercials. This leading to emigration to Vancouver, Canada and working as digital artist for the American film industry.
7 years later, 2008, I moved together with my wife back to Zurich, Switzerland, to help Apple Computers starting up their new brand stores as a creative coordinator.
Just before I've burned out, I became a full-time professional Yoga teacher; though with the setup of my own studio it didn't work out as planned and I had to branch out, working as a security agent for a while.
Using my time more responsible and and for more sustainable values, I now work full-time for the Swiss Energy Cooperative; of which I was also a founding member; I'm installing now photovoltaic systems on Swiss rooftops.
